Signs UGL Services in $10M Deal
|MIAMI GARDENS, FL -- UGL Services, a division of UGL Ltd, and Sun Life Stadium, home of the Miami Dolphins, have signed a five-year facility services agreement that is projected to total $10 million over the life of the contract under which UGL Services will provide custodial and event support services.
UGL Services’ full-time staff will perform daily cleaning and detailing services for the stadium and outdoor areas. In addition, the company assigns additional staff for several on-going events to ensure the facility is safe and clean at all times. The company has already introduced its UGL Services Green Cleaning procedures using non-toxic cleaning agents and has begun updating equipment with the most sustainable and environmentally advanced models.
“In searching for an outsource provider, we were looking for a company with broad experience in meeting the unique and challenging nature of sports stadium events management,” said Todd Boyan, Sun Life Stadium Senior Vice President, Operations. “UGL Services offered that experience supported by strong references from well-respected sports and entertainment venue managers. The company also demonstrated proven transition experience with ‘onboarding’ of staff and offered us an outstanding management team with world-class quality assurance programs.”
“We are pleased to add Sun Life Stadium to our portfolio of sports venue clients,” said Michael Dunn, UGL Services Senior Vice President. “It is a signature property we staff every day in order to support Sun Life Stadium management as they open their doors to 75,000 patrons for Miami Dolphins games and for other events. We look forward to a long and mutually beneficial relationship.”
The Sun Life Stadium contract adds to UGL Services’ considerable portfolio of public venue clients where the company provides a wide range of standard facility management services to sports and entertainment facilities, including football stadiums, baseball parks, hockey rinks and multi-sport facilities.
Its services include maintenance, electrical, plumbing, mechanical, HVAC and custodial. These core services are complemented with specialized sports and entertainment facility services that include complete stadium audio and visual services, as well as peak load game/event support. UGL Services also provides surface (turf) maintenance for playing and practice fields for major college/university facilities.
In addition to major facilities in North America, UGL Services supports sports venues in other markets, including the Singapore Sports Hub, as well as Khalifa International Stadium and Aspire Sport Hall (Doha, Qatar), home to the 2016 Summer Olympics.
UGL Services is a corporate member of the Stadium Managers Association (SMA).
